A brief history…My name is Kerri and I owned a small brick+mortar shop for 8 years called Marion + Rose Fine Goods in Oakland, CA. I started designing my own products during this time, after closing the shop I was able to refocus my creative energy and my journey into creating Drawn by Water started.
I have a love for cards and paper goods. There is something special about watching people take their time to choose the card or gift, reading and examining each with intention. They often laugh, snort, or hold a card up and say, "This is perfect."
Why Drawn by Water?
I'm a Cancer 🦀 my love for the water weaves itself throughout my life and finds its way as a reoccurring theme into whatever I’m doing- my artwork, my businesses, and my sacred places.
It feels natural to name my next project after what is intrinsic to me - I am drawn by water.
I've also worked with watercolors throughout my art-making endeavors and so much of my art was, well, drawn by water..... wink-wink.....
This is Woody Guthrie dog… to know him is to know me. He inspires me to keep on keepin’ on and also takes me out of my own head. His happy place is on the beach or in the river, both preferably with a good stick in tow.
